I am unsure about these lotions. On several occasions, I have purchased Avalon Hand Body Lotions in the following scents; Lemon Verbena, Peppermint, Rosemary, and Ylang-Ylang. While I like that the scents are not overpowering, they always have a slightly chemical smell to them. I don't know if what I am smelling is the plastic container, the botanical/chemical ingredient(s), or a combination of the two. I will continue to purchase for a bit to see for certain if it is indeed the contents, rather than just a bad batch or two. I have not experienced the same chemical smell with the shampoo in the scents which I mentioned earlier. I have noticed a plastic-like smell in other (just about in all cosmetics) bath/body products which are in plastic containers as well, which lead me to question the safety of these products....then again, I don't know if any container is 100% safe.

Avalon lavender lotion and glycerine hand soap are great products. The scent is fresh and the products are moisturizing and gentle to the skin. I would highly reccomend both items-- especially if you enjoy the soothing scent of lavender.

This is the bottle I keep next to my bed for an evening treat.
